Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) is celebrating the debut of Air Canada's seasonal nonstop service between Austin and Montréal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL), enhancing connectivity between Central Texas and Canada. "Today marks an exciting day as we launch our third route with Air Canada," declared Ghizlane Badawi, CEO of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, emphasizing the importance of expanding international travel opportunities and fostering economic and cultural ties between Texas and Canada.

The new route to Montréal is expected to open doors for further growth and partnership. Tom Noonan, President & CEO of Visit Austin, expressed excitement about the addition, stating, "This exciting addition not only enhances our city's global connectivity but also offers more travelers from around the world the opportunity to experience Austin's unique culture and charm."

Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President, Revenue and Network Planning at Air Canada, highlighted the significance of the new route, stating, "This additional service will further reaffirm Air Canada’s position as the leading carrier between Canada and the United States." The route will operate four times a week, providing travelers with direct access to Montréal, known for its rich history, diverse culture, and vibrant atmosphere.

Passengers can now book their flights to Montréal through Air Canada, experiencing the comfort of Airbus A220-300 aircraft equipped with spacious Business class and Economy cabins, onboard Wi-Fi, and Live TV. The enhanced connectivity between Austin and Montréal is expected to bring more visitors to both cities, showcasing the unique offerings of each destination.

The launch celebration at the airport included refreshments, giveaways, live music, and remarks from City and airport officials, airport partners, and Air Canada representatives. Amidst the growing demand for air travel, AUS continues its commitment to enhancing the overall travel experience through the Journey With AUS program, which includes improvement projects such as the enhancement of the International Arrivals facility.

As AUS expands its offerings and services, passengers traveling into Austin on Air Canada flights will benefit from a streamlined process, bypassing customs at AUS and clearing customs at their Canadian airport before re-entering the US. With these ongoing improvements and the introduction of new routes, AUS remains dedicated to serving as a vital gateway for travelers in Central Texas and beyond.
