Travelers passing through Austin-Bergstrom International Airport this holiday season have several options for last-minute gifts from local retailers. The airport has highlighted a range of shops offering items suitable for various recipients, with the aim of helping passengers appear well-prepared despite any time constraints.
Among the featured stores is Tyler’s Pop-up Shop near Gate 5, which offers festive accessories such as ornaments, winter wreaths, and themed earrings. The shop also provides Christmas gift bags and tags for convenience. One notable item is an El Arroyo collectible ornament that reads “Have Yourself A Merry Little Margarita.”
Austin Vibes by Gate 8 stocks merchandise reflecting local culture and events, including items for music fans and those interested in western themes. Shoppers can also find an Austin skyline snow globe and socks packaged in ornament cases.
For children’s gifts, Toy Joy & Yummi Joy by Gate 10 carries limited-edition toys from brands like Bluey, Pusheen, SpongeBob, Sonny Angels, and Hello Kitty. The store also offers a variety of holiday-themed candies such as PopUps Lollipops, PEZ Candy Dispensers, Chocolate Reese’s Santa, Ribbon Candy, Hot Cocoa Balls, Gingerbread Cookie Dough Bites, and Sour Patch Kids “Coal” edition.
The Austin Article across from Gate 18 features a display of gifts under $25. Items include socks from Two Left Feet Sock Co., boxed candles with scents like Pine Tree and Peppermint Mocha, small holiday-edition Austin tumbler shot glasses, and Ty Snaps Gingerbread and Reindeer Beanie Boos.
Book People near Gate 20 provides books along with beginner crochet kits called The Woobles. Kit themes include Lord of the Rings characters, farm animals, and gingerbread men.
Austin Mercantile continues its tradition of offering Texas-themed products such as a hot pink “Santa, bring me a Cowboy” trucker hat and novelty socks reading “It’s me, hi, I’m the present.” Large ornaments shaped like bluebonnets or longhorn skulls are among other available items.
Passengers can take advantage of free holiday gift wrapping provided by the airport’s Guest Services team. This service will be available at a station near Gate 13 daily from December 18 to December 24 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The airport encourages travelers to arrive early—suggesting at least two-and-a-half hours before departure—to allow enough time to select gifts or use the wrapping service.
“Now, as we said from the start, the goal is to arrive at your destination looking perfectly prepared, even if that gift was a last-minute grab. Lucky for you, our Guest Services team is here to help, offering free holiday gift wrapping for all passengers.”
“Starting Thursday, December 18 through the 24th you can visit our festive wrapping station located by Gate 13 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily and we’ll turn your last-minute find into a ready-to-give surprise.”
“So don’t worry about landing on anyone’s naughty list. If you’re flying through the Austin Airport with a little extra time (hint-hint nudge-nudge arrive 2.5 hours early), you can check off every gift on your list.”
Happy holidays are wished to all travelers passing through during this period.
