Travelers passing through Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) during the holiday season will find a variety of festive beverages available at several airport venues. The selection includes both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options designed to appeal to a range of tastes.

One featured drink is the Pumpkin Spice Carajillo, described as a seasonal version of the classic Spanish coffee cocktail. This variation uses LALO Tequila and pumpkin purée, and is available at Departure Lounge, Second Bar & Kitchen, and Hut’s Hamburgers. Another offering is the Cinnamon Apple Margarita, which combines apple cider, lime juice, agave, cinnamon, and LALO Tequila.

For those who prefer beer or non-cocktail drinks, local brewery Austin Beerworks provides SPUTNIK, a Russian imperial coffee oatmeal stout. Other beers such as Samuel Adams Winter White Ale are also available at The Beerdrop inside Austin City Market, 24 Diner, and Parkside.

Fruit-forward cocktails like the Blackberry Bramble and Tito’s Lavender Lemonade can be found at Parkside. Wine enthusiasts can visit Vino Volo near Gate 8 and Gate 22 for themed wine flights such as “Holidays and Cabernets” or “Holiday Hits.” Bottles are also offered for purchase.

Non-alcoholic choices include hot chocolate paired with a seasonal cheese Danish from Medici. Many cocktails on offer can be prepared as mocktails upon request.

The announcement reminds travelers that “FAA regulations prohibit passengers from drinking alcohol on board the aircraft unless it is served by the air carrier.”

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport operates under the jurisdiction of the City of Austin, which manages municipal services through its professional management structure. The city oversees legislative and administrative functions as part of its operations according to its official website. With more than 16,000 staff members managing operations across Central Texas along the Colorado River (source), Austin continues to serve as both a transportation hub and the capital of Texas.

The City of Austin has also been recognized for promoting diversity and inclusion in support of organizational goals (source) and maintains historic sites within its park system (source). Its focus on community pride and sustainable development contributes to its vision of being among the most livable cities (source).

No matter how travelers choose to celebrate this season while passing through AUS, they are encouraged to travel safely and enjoy responsibly.
