City of Austin administrative offices and several municipal facilities will not be operational on Monday, May 26, in observance of Memorial Day. Regular business activities are set to resume on Tuesday, May 27. However, some services provided by the city will continue without interruption.

Austin Utilities customers can still make payments online through coautilities.com or via phone at 1-833-375-4949. In-person payments remain available at H-E-B, Fiesta Mart, Randall’s, and Walmart locations.

Curbside collections managed by Austin Resource Recovery will adhere to their regular schedules despite the holiday. Residents can verify their collection times using the Austin Recycles app or visiting austintexas.gov/myschedule. While the Recycle and Reuse Drop-off Center will be closed for the day, Austin Water’s Hornsby Bend Biosolids Management Plant will operate during its usual hours from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., accepting yard trimmings and large brush.

The Parks and Recreation Department confirms that city parks, golf courses, cemeteries, year-round pools, and splash pads will remain open. Visitors are advised to check specific location hours on the Parks and Recreation website or Park Closures page for current information.

The City advises residents and visitors to celebrate Memorial Day responsibly with an emphasis on safe travel arrangements home. Public resources are accessible throughout the holiday weekend if needed.
