Austin police seek help identifying suspect in Chevron gas station robbery

The Austin Police Department (APD) is seeking assistance from the public to identify a suspect involved in a robbery that occurred on April 30, 2025. The incident took place between 1:45 a.m. and 2:15 a.m. at the Chevron Gas Station located at 400 S. Congress Ave.

According to the APD Robbery Unit, the victim was robbed of his wallet during the incident. Following the robbery, the victim’s credit card was used to purchase cigarettes at a nearby gas station.

The APD has released photos of the suspect believed to be involved in this crime. Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding this case to contact APD’s Robbery Unit at 512-974-5092.

For those wishing to remain anonymous, tips can be submitted through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to an arrest.
