On Tuesday, April 7, at 6:05 p.m., the Lamar Cardinals, featuring former Vista Ridge High School standout Jake Wagoner, secured a 9-5 win over the Tulane Green Wave in NCAA Division I baseball.
The matchup, held at Vincent-Beck Stadium, marked their first meeting with the Green Wave this season.
Wagoner had one hit in five at-bats, scored once, struck out twice, and stranded two runners.
The Cardinals are set to face the Nicholls State Colonels at Ben Meyer Diamond at Ray E. Didier Field on Friday, April 10.
