Michael McCaul, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 10th district, using his platform on social media, shared his reflections on significant commemorative events and international affairs. McCaul, who has been a congressional representative since 2005, addressed both national and international issues through his recent series of tweets.
On April 23, 2025, McCaul extended his congratulations to the U.S. Army Reserve on its 117th anniversary. He expressed gratitude by saying, “Wishing the U.S. Army Reserve a happy 117th birthday! Today, we honor all the brave men and women who serve with @USArmyReserve. Thank you for your dedication and sacrifice in defending our great nation!”
Later the same day, acknowledging Holocaust Remembrance Day, McCaul took a moment to remember the victims of one of history’s darkest periods. He tweeted, “Today, on Holocaust Remembrance Day, we remember the six million Jews and millions of others who lost their lives in the Holocaust. May we honor their memories by always standing united against anti-Semitism and hate, wherever it may be found. #NeverAgain.”
The following day, on April 24, 2025, McCaul responded to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, condemning the recent actions by Russia. He stated, “Russia’s brutal attack on Kyiv is heartbreaking. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, and all Ukrainians as they mourn this tragedy. Putin must heed President Trump’s words and end the bloodshed — now.”
Michael McCaul was born in Dallas, Texas in 1962 and now lives in Austin. He earned a BA from Trinity University in 1984 and a JD from St. Mary’s University, Texas in 1987.
