On April 22, 2025, McCaul posted his appreciation for the efforts of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Department of Homeland Security. He stated, “Thank you to the brave men and women of @CBP and @DHSgov for your hard work — even on a national holiday — to protect Americans by keeping this poison off our streets. Your strong presence at our border is crucial to stopping the flow of deadly drugs into our communities.”

Later on the same day, McCaul addressed a recent act of violence in India. He expressed his sorrow over the incident and support for those affected, stating, “I strongly condemn the devastating terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India today. My heart goes out to the victims and their families. The people of India are in my thoughts and prayers as they mourn this unnecessary tragedy.”

In another tweet, McCaul shared his participation at the Endless Frontiers Summit in Austin, hosted by the Council on Foreign Relations. His message was an opportunity to honor Admiral Bobby Inman, whom McCaul referred to as a mentor and recognized for his significant contributions to intelligence and technology. Michael McCaul, born in 1962 in Dallas, Texas, now resides in Austin. He graduated from Trinity University with a BA in 1984 and earned a JD from St. Mary’s University, Texas, in 1987.
