John Carrizales, a Hispanic male born on August 18, 1973, was identified as the deceased individual at the scene. The other motorcyclist involved in the accident was uninjured and is cooperating with law enforcement.
The Austin Police Department (APD) has classified this incident as the 27th fatal crash in the city for the year, with a total of 31 fatalities resulting from these accidents. In comparison, on the same date in 2024, there were 24 fatal crashes leading to 24 deaths.
