Pepperdine falls to Cal Poly 7-3 in NCAA Division I baseball matchup

Tuesday, April 14, saw former Cedar Ridge High School player Daniel Patterson and his Pepperdine Waves fall 7-3 to the Cal Poly Mustangs in NCAA Division I baseball. First pitch was at 5:05 p.m., with the contest marking another faceoff this season between the two squads.

Held at Baggett Stadium, this was the teams’ second meeting this year. During their previous matchup on Tuesday, March 3, the Waves suffered a 12-2 defeat to the Mustangs.

Patterson achieved one hit over five at-bats, scored two runs and notched one strikeout in the game.

Pepperdine is scheduled to take the field next on Friday, April 17, when they host the Loyola Marymount Lions at George C. Page Stadium.
