The Pepperdine Waves, featuring former Cedar Ridge High School athlete Daniel Patterson, were defeated 9-8 by the Saint Mary’s Gaels in their NCAA Division I baseball game Friday, March 20, at 6 p.m.
The matchup was held at Louis Guisto Field and marked the teams’ first encounter of the season.
Patterson delivered two hits in four at-bats, scored one run, tallied four RBIs and stranded one runner on base.
The Waves are slated to face the Gaels again at Louis Guisto Field on Saturday, March 21.
