A small business emergency grant program that benefits Pflugerville small businesses and those in the city's extra-territorial jurisdiction affected by the COVID-19 pandemic has raised more than $100,000.
The Pflugerville Pfund, which gives grants up to $5,000 to businesses affected by the coronavirus, was founded by the Pflugerville Chamber of Commerce.
The fund, as of May 18, had raised $103,000, according to the Community Impact Newspaper. Several businesses, individuals and organizations have donated to the fund. As of May 15, 30 businesses had received funding, the newspaper said.
The fund was established in partnership with the Pflugerville Economic Development Foundation, Pflugerville Community Development Corp., Montoya & Monzingo CPAs, and Recurrent Energy, according to the Chamber of Commerce’s website.
“Our hope is that we can serve as a bridge to additional funding you may receive in the future from the government or the Small Business Administration,” the Chamber’s website said.
