Hancock Golf Course to Celebrate 125th Anniversary in May
Austin Parks and Recreation’s Golf Division, Golf ATX, has announced the upcoming celebration of the 125th Anniversary of the Hancock Golf Course. The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 11 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 811 East 41st St.The Hancock Golf Course, founded in 1899 by Lewis Hancock, who served as the mayor of Austin from 1895 to 1897, holds the prestigious title of being the oldest continuously operated golf course in Texas.
