Austin Police seek public's help in finding endangered missing man

The Austin Police Department (APD) is asking for the public's assistance in locating Ernest Amaro, a 62-year-old man who is missing and considered endangered. The request comes from the department’s Missing Persons Unit, which noted concerns about Mr. Amaro’s health.

Mr. Amaro was last seen on Friday, April 18, 2025, around 5 p.m. in the 6100 block of Perlita Drive. The APD has emphasized the urgency of finding Mr. Amaro due to health-related issues.

The community is urged to report any sightings of Mr. Amaro to the authorities. "If you see Mr. Amaro, please call 911 or the APD Missing Persons Unit at 512-974-5250," the department said in a statement.
