The City of Austin has issued a Request for Applications (RFA) seeking qualified nonprofit or government providers to offer Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) to clients of the Downtown Austin Community Court (DACC) Intensive Case Management (ICM) program. The program aims to assist individuals in need of housing and supportive services to attain self-sufficiency.
According to the RFA, applicants are required to have experience in providing housing solutions and working with the target population. The housing locations for DACC clients must be conveniently located near public transportation, medical and mental health services, as well as shopping centers.
One key requirement outlined in the application is that the program must focus on individuals enrolled in the DACC’s ICM program, with referrals exclusively coming from DACC ICM staff. Interested parties are encouraged to apply, especially those with experience in serving the target population or those looking to establish a new program that could benefit the specified demographic.
The deadline for submitting responses to the RFA is May 17, 2024, at 2 PM Central Time. Additionally, a non-mandatory pre-offer conference is scheduled for April 11, 2024, at 3:00 PM Central Time at the One Texas Center in Austin, Texas.
For further details and to access the RFA documents, interested parties can refer to the provided download files. Questions regarding the solicitation can be directed to Edna Staniszewski, the Downtown Austin Community Court Business Process Specialist, with the question and answer period ending on May 10, 2024, at 11 AM Central Time.
This initiative by the City of Austin underscores the commitment to addressing homelessness and providing essential support services to individuals in need within the community.
