AUSTIN, TEXAS – The latest data from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) reveals a slight increase in passenger traffic for February 2024 compared to the same period last year. According to the report, "Total passenger traffic for February 2024 was 1,464,979, up 0.10% compared to February 2023."
In terms of cargo operations, February 2024 saw a decrease, with air cargo totaling 24,197,089 lbs., "down 5.7% compared to February 2023."
The report also highlighted a decline in General Aviation operations, with "General Aviation operations totaling 3,519, down 7.42%."
Looking at the overall performance for the first two months of the year, the data shows a decrease in passenger traffic. "Total passenger traffic for January – February 2024 was 2,948,351, down 0.75% compared to January – February 2023."
Similarly, air cargo operations for January – February 2024 experienced a decline, with a total of 47,354,495 lbs., "down 4.14% compared to January – February 2023." General Aviation operations for the same period also saw a decrease, with "General Aviation operations totaling 6,533 for January – February 2024, down 14.22%."
