Public Hearing Scheduled for Bond Issuance to Support Affordable Housing Project in Austin

The Austin Housing Public Facility Corporation has announced a public hearing regarding the issuance of bonds to support an affordable housing project in Austin, Texas. The hearing is scheduled to take place on April 18, 2024, at 301 W. Second Street, Austin, Texas 78701.

During the hearing, one of the items to be discussed will be the proposal for the issuance of bonds that will provide financing for the acquisition, rehabilitation, and equipping of a 114-unit multi-family residential project known as Escuela Nueva. This project aims to cater to individuals and families of low and moderate income in the Austin area.

The maximum aggregate face amount of the Bonds is expected to be $35,000,000. Interested parties are encouraged to submit written comments to the Issuer before the public hearing or attend the hearing to share any comments they may have regarding the Project or the Bonds.

In a statement, the Austin Housing Public Facility Corporation shared that speaker registration information for the public hearing will be the same as for the regular City Council meeting, with instructions available on the Council Meeting Information Center Home website.
