APD Detectives Search for a Suspect in Connection to a Hit-and-Run Crash

Austin Police Department (APD) Detectives are requesting the public’s help with identifying a suspect in connection to a hit and run crash that occurred in the 15000 block of FM 1825 Road on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at approximately 6:32 p.m. The driver, described as a Hispanic male, left the scene of the crash without providing the required information as per Texas Transportation Code 550.023. The incident resulted in damage to the victim’s vehicle, although no injuries were reported.

The APD has urged the public to come forward with any information they may have regarding the driver or the vehicle involved in the hit and run. Individuals can contact APD at 512-974-5017. Additionally, anonymous tips can be submitted through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for any information that leads to an arrest.
