A Partnership Renewed

On March 22, 2024, Viva Aerobus and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) celebrated the renewal of their partnership with the launch of nonstop flights to Monterrey, Mexico. The inaugural flight marked the reconnection between Central Texas and Mexico, with Viva Aerobus returning to AUS as the airport's 19th airline carrier.

After a hiatus, Viva Aerobus has officially returned to AUS, and a festive atmosphere welcomed passengers to the inaugural flight. Passengers were greeted by a mariachi band playing traditional Mexican music and were treated to branded butter cookies, adding to the excitement of the new route.

Contributing to Connections

Representatives from Austin Airport, the City of Austin, and the Austin Consul General of Mexico gathered to honor the partnership between the two cities. They highlighted the significance of offering affordable and direct air service between Monterrey International Airport and Austin, emphasizing the impact on families, tourists, and business travelers.
