Austin police seek help identifying attempted sexual assault suspect

The Austin Police Department (APD) is seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an attempted sexual assault case. The incident occurred on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at approximately 9:30 a.m. Officers responded to a call regarding the crime in the 6900 block of FM 969 Road.

According to the victim's report, a male suspect grabbed her sexually before fleeing the scene. The APD Sex Crimes Unit has released a sketch of the suspect and is urging anyone with information to come forward.

Individuals with information are encouraged to contact APD's Sex Crimes Unit at 512-974-5095. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to an arrest.
