Austin police investigate sixth traffic fatality of 2025

On February 15, 2025, a fatal traffic accident occurred in the 4100 block of N IH-35 SRVD SB. The Austin Police Department (APD) reported that the incident involved a collision between a pick-up truck and a sedan. The driver of the sedan, Fiona J. Adams, was pronounced dead at the scene. She was identified as a white female born on July 5, 2002.

The occupants of the pick-up truck, including the driver and two passengers, were unharmed and remained at the scene to cooperate with authorities. This crash marks Austin's sixth fatal crash of the year 2025, resulting in six fatalities. Comparatively, on this date in 2024, there had been nine fatal crashes leading to nine deaths.

The APD stated that "these statements are from the initial assessment of the fatal crash," indicating that "the investigation is still pending." They also noted that "fatality information may change" as more details become available.
