Austin Animal Center has been announced as the first donation stop for the much-anticipated annual music event, Woofstock. Animal lovers are invited to the Austin Animal Center on Saturday, January 27 from noon to 1 p.m. to make a donation and receive a ticket for the Woofstock concert. The concert is scheduled for Friday, February 16th.

The tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, so it is recommended to arrive early to secure a spot. One donation equals one pair of tickets, with a limit of one pair per person. The donation items needed include fleece blankets, non-rawhide dog bones, Kongs, dog and cat toys, training treats for dogs, XXL dog sweaters & coats, peanut butter, Churu, and cat treats.

Woofstock was initiated by the Austin City Limits Radio staff in 2015 as a creative way to support local animal shelters. Instead of purchasing tickets, attendees are encouraged to make a donation to one of the three Austin animal shelters. This year's Woofstock promises not only a fantastic musical experience but also an opportunity for the community to come together and make a positive impact on the lives of animals in need.

According to the Austin Animal Center's website, they are the municipal shelter for the City of Austin and unincorporated Travis County. They are dedicated to providing care, shelter, and adoption services for homeless animals. The center plays a crucial role in the community by promoting responsible pet ownership and connecting members with resources for their pets.

Austin City Limits Radio, the organizer of Woofstock, is a prominent radio station committed to promoting music, culture, and community engagement in Austin and beyond. They actively support various charitable initiatives, including Woofstock, to make a positive impact on the local community.
