Homicide Investigation Leads to Arrest in Austin

An arrest has been made in connection with the homicide of Robert StJohn at the InTown Suites on US HWY 183. The suspect, identified as Indira Zink, a 25-year-old Black female, is currently facing charges of first-degree felony murder. According to the Austin Police Department, Zink stabbed StJohn in his hotel room on Monday, February 19, 2024, causing his death.

"Homicide detectives and crime scene specialists responded to process the scene," said the authorities. "During the course of the investigation, information was gathered that Mr. StJohn associated with Indira Zink."

Following the incident, a warrant was issued for Zink's arrest, and she was apprehended by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force on Friday, February 23, 2024.

The Austin Police Department is urging anyone with information related to the case to come forward. Individuals can contact the department at 512-974-TIPS or submit tips anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program.

This tragic event marks Austin's 9th homicide of 2024.
