Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a call in the 2900 block of South U.S. Highway 183 SB in the early hours of Monday, February 26, 2024. According to the authorities, a male individual was found outside a vehicle in a field, suffering from gunshot wounds. The male was later identified as Rigoberto Castro-Momner and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
As the investigation unfolds, the APD stated that no arrests have been made yet, and the case is still ongoing.
