Austin Police Department (APD) detectives are actively searching for a suspect vehicle in connection to a hit-and-run incident that resulted in serious injuries to a pedestrian. The incident took place on Monday, February 26, 2024, at around 4:19 a.m. at the intersection of Manor Road and Rogge Lane.
According to reports, the driver of a newer model, four-door, white pickup truck struck a pedestrian at the aforementioned location and callously fled the scene without offering any assistance. The pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries and remains in critical condition in the hospital.
In light of this incident, authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward. As the investigation continues, individuals who may have witnessed the hit-and-run or have details about the suspect vehicle are encouraged to contact the Highway Investigation Tip Line at 512-974-8111.
