Austin police partners with Hyundai for anti-theft software upgrade event

The Austin Police Department (APD) Auto Theft unit is inviting Hyundai vehicle owners to bring their vehicles to the Austin Police Department at 1520 Rutherford Lane on Saturday, June 1, 2024, for a free anti-theft software upgrade.

Hyundai will host this event and welcomes motorists from Austin and surrounding areas who own or lease certain Hyundai vehicles for the software upgrade. Hyundai technicians will install the new technology at no cost, with installations expected to take less than 30 minutes.

The mobile clinic aims to complement Hyundai’s nationwide network of dealerships and drive further installations of Hyundai’s free anti-theft software upgrade for customers affected by theft. All attending owners will also receive a no-cost steering wheel lock, compliments of Hyundai.

Location: Austin Police Department, 1520 Rutherford Lane.
