In a heartwarming tale of second chances and stardom, Tajin, an 8-year-old black and white Austin Animal Center dog who has been waiting over three years for a home, has landed a role in Zilker Theatre Productions' rendition of "Legally Blonde the Musical."
Tajin's shelter journey began in August 2021 when he was picked up by animal protection officers after being found with another dog tied up in a yard with no food or water. He spent over a year in a kennel at Austin Animal Center before scoring a foster home with a group of University of Texas students. There, he charmed everyone he met and earned the title of the legendary “Longhorn Party Panda.”
Known for his extroverted personality and infectious joy, Tajin quickly became a beloved figure on campus. He proved to be an exemplary house guest, showing that he is fully house-trained, non-destructive, and thrives in busy environments. His charisma and love for attention made him a natural fit for the stage.
Tajin's starring role in "Legally Blonde" is a testament to his resilience and charm. He is looking for a family who shares his zest for life and a good sense of humor. He would love to be the only pet but is open to having a well-matched dog or cat friend. Suitable for a home with sturdy humans aged 13 and up, he can adapt to both high-traffic and low-traffic environments and would be just as comfortable in a house or an apartment.
With a fan club that grows daily, supporters believe that Tajin’s perfect forever family is out there, ready to welcome this 60-pound lap dog into their hearts. His joyful presence is sure to brighten any home. To learn more about adopting Tajin, visit bit.ly/tajinaac.
