The Austin Police Department (APD) is taking steps to increase officer visibility and collaborate with state and federal partners following a tragic event in New Orleans. Although there are no known threats to the Austin community, APD is implementing proactive measures to ensure safety.
"We are saddened by the loss of life and those injured in New Orleans," stated APD Chief Lisa Davis. The department urges the community to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities or potential threats by calling 9-1-1.
