Michael McCaul, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas' 10th district since 2005, recently shared his thoughts on various topics through social media posts. Born in Dallas in 1962 and currently residing in Austin, McCaul holds degrees from Trinity University and St. Mary's University, Texas.

On February 17, 2025, McCaul acknowledged the significance of Presidents Day by honoring past leaders who have shaped the nation's history. He expressed gratitude for their leadership and service in a tweet: "Happy #PresidentsDay! Today, we honor the legacy of those who’ve shaped our nation’s history. Thank you for your leadership and service!"

The following day, February 18, 2025, McCaul voiced his agreement with Lindsey Graham's characterization of Vladimir Putin as untrustworthy due to broken promises such as those made under the Budapest agreements regarding Ukraine's nuclear disarmament. He tweeted: "Lindsey Graham is right: Vladimir Putin is a thug and a bully, and he cannot be trusted. He has broken his word time and time again — including with the Budapest agreements, in which Ukraine gave up its nuclear weapons in return for Putin’s promise he would not invade."

Later that same day, McCaul commented on border security measures under the Trump administration. He stated that Americans are witnessing effective law enforcement aimed at securing borders and protecting the homeland: "Under the Trump administration, Americans are once again witnessing the federal government doing its job — enforcing the law to secure our border and protect the homeland. Deterrence is back."
