U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul has expressed strong condemnation of a recent event involving Hamas, describing it as a "vile ceremony." McCaul, who is the chairman emeritus of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, released a statement criticizing Hamas for their actions in Gaza.
McCaul stated, "'Evil' doesn’t even begin to describe Hamas’ parade last night, in which they traipsed the bodies of two sweet, innocent children, their mother—a peace activist—and an 83-year-old humanitarian around Gaza with sickening propaganda images. Hamas terrorists are truly vile." He further emphasized his belief that this act would reinforce global opposition to Hamas.
He extended his condolences to the families affected by this incident: "My heart goes out to the Bibas and Lifshitz families—and the Israeli people—as they mourn this horrific and unnecessary loss. May the memories of Kfir, Ariel, Shiri, and Oded be a blessing."
McCaul reaffirmed U.S. support for Israel in its conflict with Hamas: "The United States will continue to stand with Israel until Hamas is eliminated and justice and peace restored."
