Michael McCaul, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas' 10th district since 2005, has recently expressed his views on various national and international issues through a series of tweets. Born in Dallas, Texas, McCaul has been an active voice in Congress, particularly focusing on security and foreign policy matters.

On March 20, 2025, McCaul shared his satisfaction regarding the return of Americans held hostage by the Taliban regime. He stated: "For years, I’ve advocated for Americans held hostage by the brutal Taliban regime, and I’m thrilled President Trump has now brought both Glezmann and Ryan Corbett home to their families. As we celebrate their return, we also pledge to continue fighting for Mahmood Habibi and all".

In another tweet dated March 21, 2025, McCaul emphasized the importance of food security as a component of national security. He urged Mexico to adhere to its commitments under the 1944 Water Treaty to support Texas farmers: "Food security is national security. Mexico must comply with its obligations under the 1944 Water Treaty. We will not sit by idly while our Texas farmers are forced to close down. Thank you @SecRollins for your leadership on this important issue!".

Later that day, McCaul addressed concerns about China's influence on U.S. national security through financial means: "The Chinese Communist Party will stop at nothing to prop up its military and surveillance state. Today, my colleagues and I are taking a critical step to protect U.S. national security by ensuring the CCP cannot exploit U.S. capital as a tool to accomplish those malign efforts."
