On Thursday, May 25, 2023, at approximately 2:42 p.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a single crash involving a motorcycle in the 10400 block of N Mopac Expressway SB. Detectives believe the motorcyclist, Devin Graves, was traveling south when he lost control and crashed into the outside guardrail. Graves died at the scene.
On Saturday, May 20, 2023, at approximately 3:34 a.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a crash between a two-door car and a pedestrian in the 4900 block of S IH35 NB SVRD. The pedestrian, an unidentified man, died on the scene. The driver of the car remained on the scene, was cooperative, and showed no signs of being impaired.

On Monday, May 15, 2023, at approximately 12:09 a.m., Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services responded to a pickup truck and pedestrian crash in the 9000 block of N IH 35 SVRD SB. A preliminary investigation revealed that the pedestrian was hit by a pickup truck traveling south on the service road. The driver left the scene and did not stop or call 911. The victim was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries in critical condition.
