Officers and Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services (ATCEMS) arrived at the scene and located a man with a gunshot wound in one leg. The man was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
On Monday, May 15, 2023, at approximately 12:09 a.m., Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services responded to a pickup truck and pedestrian crash in the 9000 block of N IH 35 SVRD SB. A preliminary investigation revealed that the pedestrian was hit by a pickup truck traveling south on the service road. The driver left the scene and did not stop or call 911. The victim was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries in critical condition.
On Friday, May 26, 2023, at approximately 2:38 a.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a single-motorcycle crash in the 10200 block of Research Boulevard NB. Detectives believe the motorcyclist lost control and crashed into the inside guardrail. The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital and died a short time later.
On Friday, May 26, 2023, at approximately 12:56 a.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a crash between a sedan and an unidentified pedestrian in the 900 block of W Ben White Boulevard SVRD EB. The unidentified person died at the scene. The driver of the sedan was not injured, remained on scene, and cooperated with the investigation.
