WASHINGTON – On July 27, U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) announced he has named longtime aide Andrew Ross as his next Chief of Staff. Ross will officially step into the role on Monday as Chris Del Beccaro is set to depart after four years of service.

Rep. McCaul said, “I am happy to announce the promotion of Andrew Ross to be my next chief of staff. No one knows Texas’ 10th congressional district like Andrew, who has spent the past six years meeting constituents in every county, listening to their concerns, and ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met. His time in Texas has laid the groundwork for his appointment as my next Chief, and I look forward to all we will accomplish with him at the helm of my office.

“I also want to thank Chris Del Beccaro for a job well done. I am forever grateful for the service and support he has given to me, the staff, and the people of Texas. His presence in my office will be missed, but Chris will undoubtedly continue to be a trusted advisor to me. I wish him and his fiancée all the best with their next adventure.”

Incoming Chief of Staff Andrew Ross said, “Congressman McCaul is an absolute warrior for Texas-10. Outgoing Chief of Staff Chris Del Beccaro said, “Serving as Congressman McCaul’s Chief of Staff for the last four years has been an honor. I am proud to have witnessed many historic accomplishments, including the passage of the CHIPS for America Act and Congressman McCaul’s appointment as the first Texan to chair the House Foreign Affairs Committee. I am grateful to my colleagues in both Texas and D.C., as well as to the congressman’s family—especially his wife Linda—for welcoming me to the position and making my time so memorable. Congressman McCaul is a dedicated boss and a steadfast champion of freedom and democracy around the world. While I will miss him and our extraordinary staff, I know that they will be in fantastic hands under Andrew’s experienced and proven leadership.”

About Andrew:

Andrew has served with Rep. McCaul for six years as his Deputy Chief of Staff, District Director, Deputy District Director, and Field Director. Prior to his arrival in Texas, Andrew worked for U.S. Representative Austin Scott, U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson, GEMA/Homeland Security, Georgia Governor Nathan Deal, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture-ARS Division. He is a graduate of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and received his Bachelor of Science and Masters of Agricultural Leadership degrees from the University of Georgia in 2010 and 2012. While at the University of Georgia, Andrew met his now wife, Sarah, while she was completing undergraduate studies for Texas A&M. Sarah is a proud graduate of both Texas A&M University and the University of Texas, holding her Doctorate of Pharmacy with the latter. Andrew and his wife Sarah currently reside in Bastrop, Texas.
