The Austin Police Department (APD) Robbery Unit is seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect involved in a robbery that took place at the Pineapple XPress Smoke Shop on Guadalupe Street. The incident occurred on Monday, December 11, 2023, at approximately 3:00 p.m.

According to reports, the suspect entered the smoke shop with the intention of stealing cash. The suspect forcefully pushed one victim aside before brandishing a knife and threatening both the victim and another individual present at the scene. The suspect successfully fled the premises after stealing an undisclosed amount of cash. Eyewitnesses observed the suspect heading southbound on Guadalupe Street.

The suspect is described as a white male, aged between 20 and 30 years, approximately 5'10" tall, and weighing between 170 and 200 lbs. The suspect has blond hair, a full beard, and gauge piercings with no gauges in each ear. At the time of the incident, the suspect was seen wearing a turquoise ball cap, sunglasses, a black surgical-style face mask, a green hooded zippered jacket, a light shirt under the jacket, dark pants, and light-colored shoes with white laces.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspect or the robbery to contact APD's Robbery Unit at 512-974-5092. Additionally, anonymous tips can be submitted through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for any information that leads to an arrest.
