APD Detectives Search for a Suspect in Connection to a Robbery/Credit Card Abuse

The Austin Police Department (APD) Robbery Unit is seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect involved in a robbery that took place at a Costco parking lot located at 10401 Research Blvd. The incident occurred on Thursday, December 14, 2023, around 7:44 p.m.

During the robbery, the victim attempted to retrieve her purse, but unfortunately, she was dragged by the suspect's vehicle. The suspect, a black female believed to be between 20 to 30 years old and approximately 5'0" tall, was captured on camera using the victim's credit card. The APD has provided a description of the suspect, including her attire at the time of the incident: a blue Adidas hoodie, blue and white shorts, and brown or tan slippers.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspect or the incident to contact APD's Robbery Unit at 512-974-5092. Alternatively, tips can be submitted anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program via austincrimestoppers.org or by calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to an arrest.
