APD Detectives Release Booking Photo of a Man Arrested in Connection to Aggravated Assault

Austin Police Department (APD) detectives have released the booking photo of Ashton Kaine Talley, a 24-year-old man who was arrested in connection to an aggravated assault case. Talley has been charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault With a Deadly Weapon and one count of Evading Arrest.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, January 9, 2023, at around 9:57 a.m. Multiple calls were made to the APD reporting an attack involving a machete in the 200 block of 1st Street. Responding officers found a victim at the scene with apparent stab wounds. The victim was immediately transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

According to the APD, Talley was taken into custody following the incident. The victim's condition is reported to be stable.
