AUS Concession Program "Beats, Bites, and Flights" Provides Unique Experience for Travelers

Jan 31, 2024

The Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) is known for its vibrant and eclectic atmosphere, and the AUS concession program, "Beats, Bites, and Flights," perfectly captures the essence of the city. With a focus on local flavors, live music, and Austin-themed products, this one-of-a-kind program offers a truly unique experience for passengers passing through the terminal.

"Our concession partners are the people behind the scenes thinking of creative ways to continue bringing Austin's personality to the terminal," says an airport spokesperson. "They have successfully created an environment that showcases the best of what Austin has to offer."

The program features a variety of food options, including popular local establishments such as ThunderCloud Subs and 24 Diner. These culinary offerings allow passengers to experience the authentic taste of Austin before or after their flights. In addition, shopping options like Austin Mercantile provide opportunities for travelers to pick up unique souvenirs and gifts inspired by the city.

"Waiting" takes on a whole new meaning at AUS, where travelers can enjoy live music performances while indulging in delicious bites. The airport spokesperson encourages passengers to take advantage of this unique opportunity, saying, "Join us for a beat or bite before your next flight and immerse yourself in the vibrant culture that Austin has to offer."

In addition to the culinary and entertainment offerings, AUS has also seen exciting developments in terms of flight options. In 2023, the airport welcomed Copa Airlines as its newest international carrier, offering nonstop flights to Panama City, Panama. Passengers can now easily access this popular Central American destination from Austin.

The airport also expanded its nonstop destinations, adding flights to Montrose, Colorado, and Omaha, Nebraska. Furthermore, the return of Air Canada and WestJet flights to Vancouver and Calgary, Canada, was celebrated by both travelers and airport officials.

Looking ahead to 2024, AUS expects to continue its tradition of providing exceptional flight options and a vibrant atmosphere. The spokesperson notes, "If 2024 is anything like 2023, you can bet there will be even more bites that rock and beats that roll at AUS."

Travelers passing through AUS can look forward to a unique and memorable experience, with a wide range of culinary delights, live music performances, and Austin-inspired products. The airport's concession program truly encapsulates the spirit of the city and provides a warm welcome to newcomers and locals alike.
