APD Detectives Search for a Woman Suspected of Drugging and Robbing Multiple Victims

The Austin Police Department Robbery Unit is seeking the public's help in identifying a female suspect believed to be involved in multiple cases of drugging and credit card abuse in the Downtown Austin Entertainment District. The incidents, which occurred between January 2022 and December 2023, targeted male victims who were possibly drugged, and had their credit cards and cellphones stolen.

According to the authorities, the stolen credit cards and cellphones were then used to carry out fraudulent purchases and transactions, resulting in losses totaling over $75,000. The suspect utilized the banking applications on the stolen cellphones and made physical purchases at various businesses using the stolen credit cards.

The suspect is described as follows:

"Investigators have linked the suspect to several incidents reported in early 2022, and as recently as December 2023," said a spokesperson from the Austin Police Department.

The police are urging anyone with information about the suspect or the incidents to come forward and assist in the investigation. Those with information can contact APD's Robbery Unit at 512-974-5092. Alternatively, tips can be submitted anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477.

As an incentive for providing valuable information leading to an arrest, a reward of up to $1,000 may be available.
