The Austin Police Department (APD) Auto Theft unit has partnered with Hyundai for an upcoming event aimed at enhancing the security of Hyundai vehicle owners. The event, scheduled from March 8 to March 10 at the Burger Sports Complex in Austin, Texas, will offer a free anti-theft software upgrade to Hyundai vehicle owners in the area.

According to the APD Auto Theft unit, Hyundai technicians will be present at the event to install the new anti-theft technology in less than 30 minutes, at no cost to residents. Additionally, attendees will also receive a complimentary steering wheel lock from Hyundai.

The initiative is part of Hyundai's efforts to address vehicle theft concerns and provide added security features to its customers. The event is open to all Austin and surrounding area motorists who own or lease certain Hyundai vehicles.

The APD Auto Theft unit emphasized that no appointment, registration, or fee is required to participate in the software upgrade event. The location of the event is set at the Burger Sports Complex, located at 3200 Jones Road in Austin, Texas.

This event is designed to complement Hyundai's existing network of dealerships and further promote the installation of the free anti-theft software upgrade for customers impacted by theft incidents. For more information on previous anti-theft software upgrade events or media inquiries, individuals are encouraged to contact the organizers directly.
