APD Detectives Search for a Suspect in Connection to a Robbery

The Austin Police Department (APD) Robbery Unit is seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect involved in a robbery at a Dollar General store on Springdale Road. The incident occurred on February 7, 2024, at around 1:27 p.m.

According to the APD, the suspect assaulted an employee who tried to prevent the shoplifting. The authorities have released a description and photo of the suspect and are urging anyone with information to come forward. In a statement, the APD Robbery Unit stated, "Anyone with any information should contact APD's Robbery unit at 512-974-5092."

Additionally, a reward of up to $1,000 may be available for individuals who provide information that leads to an arrest. Those who wish to submit tips anonymously can do so through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477.
