APD seeks public help in identifying burglary suspect

The Austin Police Department (APD) Burglary Unit is seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect linked to a series of burglaries. The incidents began on Friday, June 7, 2024, at approximately 5 p.m., at a residence located in the 1600 block of Chatham Avenue.

According to APD, the suspect broke into the home wielding a knife during one of the burglaries. Preliminary investigations suggest that the suspect may reside near the Windsor Park area.

Anyone with information is urged to contact APD's Burglary Unit at 512-974-6941. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477.
