The City of Austin and The Austin Pride Foundation will host the 34th Austin Pride Parade on Saturday, August 10, 2024. This year’s event, themed “Queer Cabaret,” aims to celebrate and honor LGBTQ+ members of the greater Austin community.

The parade will commence at 8 p.m. at the Texas Capitol building on 11th Street and Congress Avenue, proceed south down Congress Avenue, and conclude at the Ann Richards bridge at Cesar Chavez Street. Attendees can visit the City's website for logistical information and a detailed parade map.

To ensure safety and convenience, attendees are encouraged to utilize public transportation, ride-sharing services, or carpooling options for their journey to and from the event.

Road closures associated with the parade will begin at 1 p.m. on August 10. All streets are scheduled to reopen by midnight. A detailed road closure map is available on the City’s event webpage.

City departments will collaborate during the event to create a safe environment for all participants.

The mission of The Austin Pride Foundation (TAPF) is "to educate, resource, and connect the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) community in Austin." Formed in 2010, TAPF is a volunteer-run non-profit organization dedicated to managing Austin’s annual PRIDE Celebration and Stonewall Rally.

The Austin Center for Events (ACE) is a collaborative assembly of City of Austin departments designed to streamline special event permitting on public and private property. ACE includes teams from various city departments such as Public Health, Transportation and Public Works, Parks, Music, Police, Fire, EMS, among others.
