Austin police investigate double homicide on South Pleasant Valley Road

On June 26, 2024, at approximately 11:31 p.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a shooting incident at 2317 South Pleasant Valley Road. Callers reported multiple gunshots and screaming in the area. Upon arrival, officers found three victims with gunshot wounds. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while two others were transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. The second victim later died at the hospital, and the third remains in stable condition despite sustaining severe injuries.

Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Specialists processed the scene and interviewed witnesses. The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made so far.

The decedents have been identified as approximately 39-year-old Hispanic male and approximately 30-year-old Hispanic male.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Austin Police Department at 512-974-TIPS. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to an arrest.

This case marks Austin's 28th and 29th homicides of 2024.
