Austin police seek public's help identifying robbery suspect

The Austin Police Department (APD) is seeking help from the public to identify a suspect involved in a robbery at a Chevron gas station. The incident took place on October 20, 2024, around 2:50 p.m., at 525 West Slaughter Lane.

According to APD's Robbery Unit, the suspect stole grocery items from the store and left without paying. When the victim tried to retrieve the stolen items, the suspect allegedly brandished a knife.

Authorities have provided descriptions and photos of the suspect to assist in identification efforts. They urge anyone with information about the suspect to contact APD's Robbery Unit at 512-974-5092. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to an arrest.
