Austin police seek public help in identifying robbery suspects

The Austin Police Department (APD) is seeking help from the public to identify three individuals involved in an aggravated robbery. The incident occurred on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at approximately 5:18 a.m. on the 14200 block of The Lakes Boulevard.

According to the APD Robbery Unit, the suspects approached a victim and held him at gunpoint, taking his personal belongings, including vehicle keys. They then located and stole the victim's vehicle from a parking lot. The vehicle was later found on the same day along the 1000 block of Rutland Drive.

The police have released descriptions of the three suspects but did not provide further details in this release.

Community members with information about this case are encouraged to contact APD's Robbery unit at 512-974-5092. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 is offered for information leading to an arrest.
