Michael McCaul meets WWII veterans and comments on national security

Michael McCaul, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 10th district, shared several updates on social media recently. Born in Dallas, Texas, McCaul has been a member of Congress since 2005 and resides in Austin.

On January 23, 2025, McCaul expressed his honor at meeting four World War II veterans who fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He assisted them in laying a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery. He remarked on their bravery during perilous times: "In times of great peril, these men fought against tyranny to preserve freedom. They will always be remembered as the Greatest Generation."

On January 24, 2025, McCaul commented on recent actions by ICE agents under President Trump's administration. He stated that Americans are relieved as agents prioritize deporting violent criminals. He emphasized there was no justification for allowing dangerous individuals to remain: "There was NO excuse for these child molesters, murderers, terrorists, and brutal gang members to be allowed on our..."

On January 26, 2025, McCaul welcomed the CIA's decision to declassify information regarding COVID-19's origins under Director Ratcliffe’s leadership. He reiterated his previous assertions about its likely origin from a lab in Wuhan: "I’ve been saying that exact same thing since 2020, when I released my Origins of Covid-19 report."
