On January 27, 2025, a fatal traffic accident occurred at the intersection of E. Parmer Lane and Samsung Blvd in Austin. The Austin Police Department (APD) responded to the scene at approximately 7:03 a.m. The crash involved two vehicles, resulting in the death of one driver, identified as Jarren T. Wallingsford, born on September 27, 1977. The other driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The incident marks Austin's third fatal crash of the year, bringing the total number of fatalities to three. This compares to two fatal crashes with two deaths on the same date last year.
