As outdoor activities increase with the onset of sunnier weeks, residents are encouraged to consider cycling as a sustainable mode of transportation. Biking in Austin is described as fun, safe, and convenient. The city offers various opportunities for safe bicycle commutes, whether for work or leisure.

For those new to cycling, some practical tips are offered to ease the transition from car travel to biking. One option for those without a personal bike is CapMetro Bikeshare. This service provides 100% electric bikes at over 75 stations citywide. The bikes are available around the clock and can be accessed through an app or by checking the bikeshare stations map.

Riders are encouraged to make their journeys enjoyable by inviting friends along and exploring Austin's Urban Trails System. These trails offer a secure and comfortable connection to other bicycle networks and major roads while being physically separated from on-street traffic.

To further promote sustainable commuting, individuals can follow Get There ATX on social media or subscribe to their newsletter for more inspiration.
