Michael McCaul, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas' 10th district since 2005, has recently shared several messages on social media reflecting on law enforcement, military honors, and legislative actions. McCaul was born in Dallas in 1962 and currently resides in Austin. He holds degrees from Trinity University and St. Mary's University.

On March 24, 2025, McCaul expressed his gratitude towards Officer Brad Smith of the College Station Police Department for his long-standing service. In a tweet, he stated: "I want to commend Officer Brad Smith of the @CSTXPolice for his incredible 38 years of service. College Station is blessed to have brave and dedicated officers like you. Thank you for protecting our community, and we wish you all the best in your well-deserved retirement!"

The following day, March 25, 2025, McCaul acknowledged Medal of Honor recipients with a message highlighting their bravery and sacrifice: "Today, we honor the bravest of the brave—our nation’s Medal of Honor recipients. Their courage, sacrifice, and service inspire us all. We are forever grateful for their dedication to defending our freedoms." This recognition coincided with #MedalOfHonorDay.
